A fine WordPress.com site

A few highlights from our pop-up tables at The Plant earlier this month!

Thanks again to Plant Chicago for the reaching out and for the amazing farmers market. Stay tuned for our October repair clinic date––we’ll be back at it at our home base in Edgewater!

The featured pic is of one of our longest-running volunteers, the Venerable Becky Kidd, helping a kiddo with her headphones after we were supposed to be packed up. She was about to go into Lurie Children’s Hospital again, so we were happy to make an exception. One of the most joyous and extroverted kids I’ve ever met. She plans to be a scientist, so we also introduced her to another volunteer, Jason St. John, who works at Fermilab when he’s not fixing your toaster.

In conclusion, we have the best volunteers (and people bringing in broken things) ever.

See you in October,

Carla + the CGW Crew
